WEEK OF: NOVEMBER 4TH – 8TH
THEME: FUN TO BE FIT
The focus of the week’s activities will be on fitness and healthy habits. The learning
experiences will include creating a healthy foods collage, fingerpainting with shaving cream, painting with toothbrushes, yoga exercises and playing parachute games.
The letter of the week activity is H is for healthy me!

*Lunch Bunch will not be held on Friday, November 8th due to setting up for the church fair.
The fair is on Friday from 4 – 8 and Saturday from 9 -3. Hope you will come by!

NOVEMBER 11th – 15th and 18th – 22nd
THEME: OUR FAMILIES / OUR PETS
The 11th – 15th is a sharing week. We are asking each child to bring in a family photo on their scheduled sharing day. You may send in a picture of just one or two individual relatives or a group picture; any family photo your child selects will be fine. We plan to pin the photos onto a classroom bulletin board for several weeks. The photos will then be kept for each child’s end-of-the-year portfolio book.
There is no school on Monday 11/11 for Veterans Day; Monday children may bring in their sharing photo on the following Monday,11/18.
The letter of the week activity is I is for ice cream.
During pet week,18th – 22nd, the dramatic play center will become a veterinary office where we will learn all about pet care!

NOVEMBER 25TH & 26TH GIVING THANKS
Thanksgiving celebrations and traditions will be explored in the classroom throughout the month. You may hear us singing Laurie Berkner’s (I’m Gonna Eat) On Thanksgiving Day and this turkey song; ask your child to show you the motions!

**A Tasty Tuesday Lunch Bunch will be held on Tuesday, November 26th from 12:00 – 1:00.
Please sign the sheet if your child will be attending. Sign-ups and the payment of $16 is due
by Friday, November 22nd.

OCTOBER 28 – NOVEMBER 1, 2024; THEME – Shapes All Around

During these two weeks we will be reviewing basic shapes and rhyming words while having fun with some spooktacular Halloween crafts and games!

All the children will have the opportunity to join in Halloween games and crafts on Wednesday (10/30) and Thursday (10/31).

At music time we will learn Halloween songs which we will sing as a group following the Halloween parade on Thursday.

The letter of the week activities are F is for frog and G is for ghost.

Theme: All About Apples

All about apples this week! Activities will include apple prints, enjoying apples for snack, a Big World magazine about apples and an apple volcano experiment!

You may hear us singing this song; ask your child to show you the motions.

Way up high in the apple tree
Two (yellow/red) apples looked down at me,
I shook that tree as hard as I could,
Down came the apples, hmm, they were good!

The letter of the week activity is C is for cotton.

Barksdale Studios had a scheduling conflict and has rescheduled our picture day for hursday, October 10th.

A photographer for Barksdale Studios will come to Fellowship Hall on Thursday, October 10th for those who would like to have their child’s picture taken.

Children who attend school on Thursday will go to Fellowship Hall with their teachers and classmates to have their pictures taken. All others may bring their children between 10:30– 11:30 to have their picture taken.

This day is for individual pictures only.

Our class picture will be taken on Tuesday, May 6th.
