The trip to Roger’s Spring Hill Farm is being organized by two Perry Park parents. It is scheduled for Tuesday, October 17th . Families are asked to meet at the farm, located at 136 Neck Road in Haverhill, on Tuesday at 12:45.

The payment is due by Friday, October 13th. Cash or check to PPP.

THEME: COLOR DAYS

This is the first SHARING WEEK of the year. The children are asked to bring in an item of their favorite color on their scheduled sharing day. Please see the attached sharing list.

This week we will have fun with colors!

Each day will focus on a different color and the children may wear the color of the day to enhance this learning experience.

Monday – red day
Tuesday – orange day
Wednesday – yellow day
Thursday – green day
Friday – blue & purple

The letter of the week activity is B is for bat.

REMINDERS, REQUESTS, AND OTHER INFO:

• Please label your child’s backpack! Inside or out, thank you!
• Be sure all of your child’s outerwear is clearly labeled. The children hang
  their jackets, etc. on hooks and are sometimes unsure which is theirs at the
  end of the day.
• Each child should have a complete change of clothes in their backpack.

THEME: WELCOME TO SCHOOL!

Welcome to Perry Park Preschool and the first Weekly Update of the school year.
Each week you will receive an email containing the weekly update which lists activities and events for the upcoming week(s).

The first weeks of school will focus on introducing the children to the rules and
routines of the classroom and the playground. The children will be learning new songs to
sing for greeting hello, clean-up time and good-bye. They will have the opportunity to explore many interest centers in the classroom including blocks, dramatic play, play dough, puzzles, and the science area.

Art exploration will include painting at the easel, using scissors and glue sticks,
painting with watercolors and decorating a place card for snack time.

WEEK OF: SEPTEMBER 18 – 22, 2023
THEME: GETTING TO KNOW YOU

This week at Perry Park the children will continue to explore new centers in the classroom. Circle time activities will include singing songs and playing games to help learn the names of our teachers and new friends. Other friendship activities will include creating a handprint tree for the classroom, finger painting with friends and painting Bag Buddies (which the children will take home at the Open House).

Also, this week we will begin our letter of the week activities with A is for Apple.

• PPP will provide snacks for the first few weeks. Daily snacks are listed on the snack
  calendar found in the orientation packet. Each child will use their own water bottle for snack time. Please clearly label and provide water only.
• September birthdays will be celebrated at snack time. Please see a teacher if you would like to contribute snack for a birthday celebration.
  The October snack calendar will be available to sign-up next week.
