THEME: WELCOME FRIENDS!
Welcome to Perry Park Preschool! We are so excited to be starting school!
You will receive an update every week or two which lists the activities planned for the upcoming week(s). Going forward, the updates will be emailed to each family and can also be found on our website: perryparkpreschool.com.
The first week of school will focus on introducing the children to the rules and routines of the classroom and the playground. The children will be learning new songs to sing for greeting hello, clean-up time and good-bye. (See reverse for the words to the Good Morning Song). They will have the opportunity to explore many interest centers in the classroom including blocks, dramatic play, puzzles, and the science center.
Art exploration will include painting at the easel, using scissors and glue sticks, decorating a place card for snack time and an A is for apple letter activity.
REMINDERS, REQUESTS AND OTHER INFO:
*Wear nametags for the first week of school.
*Clearly label backpacks and be sure to keep a complete change of clothes and 2 masks inside.
* Lunch Bunch begins on Monday 9/21. All are welcome to stay for lunch.
Please see the notice in your orientation packet for more information.
*PPP will provide snacks for the first few weeks. Daily snacks are listed on the snack calendar found in the orientation packet. Water is served with the snack of the day.
*This year snack time will be held in the preschool hallway to keep socially distant while not wearing masks for snack time. Each child will sit on a carpet square and enjoy snack all together with their teachers.
*A signup sheet for October snacks will be available to sign next week.
