THEME: LEAVES ARE FALLING / PUMPKIN PATCH
Autumn is in the air and in the classroom this week as we begin to explore
this colorful season. At circle time we will talk about the signs of fall, the changes that fall brings, and some of our favorite fall activities. We plan to paint with fall colors at the easel, take a nature walk on school grounds to look for leaves and acorns, and create a Leaf Man after reading the book by Lois Ehlert.

We will also learn about fire safety while trying Stop-Drop & Roll and practicing a fire drill (we do not sound the alarm).

Fall books the children may enjoy this season are –
When Autumn Comes, by Robert Maass
Leaf Man, by Lois Ehlert
The Apple Pie Tree, by Zoe Hall
The Biggest Leaf Pile, by Steve Metzger
Apples and Pumpkins, by Anne Rockwell
