*A photographer from Barksdale Studios will come to Fellowship Hall on Thursday, October 10^th to take individual pictures of each child.

(Please note the change of date)

Children who attend school on Thursday will go to Fellowship Hall with their classmates and teachers to have their pictures taken. All others are welcome to come between 10:30 – 11:30 to their child’s picture taken.

In a few weeks the proofs will be sent home, and picture ordering is done online.

Our class picture will be taken in May.

*The trip to Roger’s Spring Hill Farm is planned for Tuesday, 10/15 at 12:30. A sign-up sheet will be posted at arrival time for those who would like to attend.

The payment is due by Friday, October 11^th.  Cash (labeled in an envelope) or checks to PPP.

Update for October 7th – 11th and October 14th – 18th

During these two weeks we will explore this colorful season and discover what may be seen in Autumn on a farm.

The letter of the week activities are D is for dog and E is for Elmo.

October 14th – 18th is SHARING WEEK.

The children are asked to bring in something found on a farm on their scheduled sharing day. Monday’s sharing (Columbus Day – no preschool) is moved to the next day your child attends school.

Each day will focus on a different color and the children may wear the color of the
day to enhance this learning experience.

REMINDERS, REQUESTS, AND OTHER INFO:

• Please label your child’s backpack ~ inside or out ~ thank you!
• Be sure all your child’s outerwear is clearly labeled. The children hang
  their jackets, etc. on hooks and are sometimes unsure which is theirs at the
  end of the day.
• Each child should have a complete change of clothes in their backpack.
• There is a sign-up sheet for those who may like to contribute toppings or paper
  goods for the Ice Cream Social. The social will be held during the Open House
  on Tuesday, 10/1.

On Tuesday, October 1st From 6:00 – 7:00

Families are invited to visit the classroom, meet the teachers and other families during this informal evening.Photographs of the children will be displayed, along with artwork and the children will take home their Bag Buddies.

Members of the Groveland Congregational Church along with the staff of Perry Park invite you to attend an Ice Cream Social in Fellowship Hall held from 6-7PM

Children often enjoy taking their families on a tour of the classroom. Please feel welcome to visit the classroom whether or not you plan to attend the Ice Cream Social.
